Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan will meet with Carrboro Mayor Mark Chilton tomorrow.

John Heuer of the Carrboro-based Grassroots Impeachment Movement, said the mayor and Sheehan will meet for lunch at noon at Carrboro's Weaver Street Market. Chilton could not be reached for comment.

The event is not a public rally, but members of the public are welcome to attend, Heuer said.

Sheehan, whose son was killed in the Iraq war, has more recently focused her efforts on pushing for the impeachment of President George W. Bush. She was in Charlotte on Tuesday, where she canceled a planned appearance at Bryant Park in the face of a large group of counter-protestors demonstrating against her. She instead moved her appearance to a local natural foods store.
