June 16 "This Day From Palestine" Festival

2:00 pm to 8pm
MAS Community Center (located on Shamrock Dr. , Charlotte , NC )

The purpose of this event is to affirm the presence of the Palestinian people through their culture, art and history and to establish a connection between the land of historic Palestine and its people.

You will get to see 75 art pieces of Palestinian Cartoonist, Naji El-Ali.
Authentic Palestinian food will be served.

Please join us for this program as it will be a great learning experience.

Program Schedule:
Program starts at 2:30
2:30 – 2:45 : Greeting and introduction
2:45 – 3:30 : Presentation By Dr. Masood Khan. “History of the Palestinian Struggle” 3:30 – 3:40: Break
3:40 – 5:00: Film viewing, “ The Iron Wall.” Film length is 52 minutes, followed by questions and answers segment.
5:00 – 6:00: Dinner will be served in the Cafeteria.
6:00 – 7:20: Panel Discussion on “life Under the Occupation”. Speakers are Asia Habbah and Basem Atallah.
7:20 – 7:30 Break
7:30 – 8:00: Brainstorming meeting on how to better prepare for next years festival and on how to be actively involved.
