This year marks the 40th anniversary of the illegal Israeli military occupation of the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem.

In order to commemorate this anniversary, the US Campaign along with United for Peace and Justice are gathering people from all across the United States to come together in our nation's
capital and give a clear message to our government: The World Says NO to Israeli Occupation!
This historic event coincides with the call from Palestinian Civil Society for people all over the world to unite on this day to reject the oppression and violence that come from occupation.

The afternoon rally on June 10 will take place on the Capitol Lawn and will feature inspiring and challenging speakers, as well as colorful performances. The group will march from there to the White House, and conclude the day with an evening Cultural Event and Comedy Night for Peace and Justice in the Middle East. On Monday morning, June 11, the group will gather once again for a grassroots lobbying training workshop and then send participants to our Congressional Representatives and Senators.

In our efforts to make these two days a great success, U.S. Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation is traveling all over the States in order to help people mobilize for this event. Ashley will be in the Triangle and Charlotte areas from April 25-29 to share resources from the US Campaign, make presentations about her time in Bethlehem, and help people mobilize for this amazing event that will take place in Washington, DC on June 10-11, 2007.

The U.S. Campaign to End The Israeli Occupation and United For Peace & Justice (Action Center For Justice is a member of both groups) have called for this protest, teach-in and lobby day in Washington, DC. ACJ is organizing for these important events. We are trying to raise money to send a bus load of students & activists. Donate at http://www.geocities.com/nomorevictims/support
