Join the Leadership Conference for Guaranteed Health Care as we celebrate National Nurses Week!
Our allies, the California Nurses Association/National Nurses Organizing Committee have been a longtime leader in the fight against corporate medicine to get insurance company bureaucrats out of our health care. Nurses are on the frontline defending our health in the medical system as well as in the movement for meaningful health reform.
On Wednesday, May 13th, 500 Nurses with activists by their side will be rallying from noon - 2pm at Upper Senate Park in Washington DC. Afterwards, the single-payer movement will take to Capitol Hill to lobby their Senators and US Representatives for single-payer national health care.
Join for the rally by getting on the phone for a National Call-In Day to Congress. We saw Senators laugh at peaceful demonstrators at the Senate Finance Committee Hearing last week, as 8 single-payer advocates were removed one-by-one from the Hearing and arrested. We need to make sure these elected officials hear from the movement.
Remember we have HR 676 in the House with 75 cosponsors and S703 in the Senate with no cosponsors.
