The BBC World News just had the spokesperson for Mercy Corps on the show. She said Israel is denying ALL the aid groups entry into Gaza. She said Israel was using stall tactics & giving aid organizations the run around. Half the day has already passed in Gaza.
The Mercy Corps spokesperson was abruptly interrupted by BBC to report on another story as if there something more important than this.
Will you allow this to continue in your name without taking action to oppose it?
This is worse than The Holocaust because it could immediately be stopped & the people of Gaza could be saved. Instead the world sits by & watches as the war crimes & inhumanity continue. Shame on all of us for not doing more to bring this to a halt & save Gaza!

Media Lies & Ommissions vs. The Truth in Gaza

I used the Fox 18 WCCB 10:00 pm news coverage to base my report on.
Jan. 18 - Fox 18 WCCB reports on GAZA: Said prayers have been answered. There is a ceasefire brokered by Egypt & European leaders. Reports Israeli soldiers are leaving Gaza (shows footage of Israeli tanks going by with IDF flashing peace signs). Reports 1200 Palestinians killed & 13 Israeli's in the fighting that began Dec. 27. Reports that humanitarian aid is being delivered, citing some people getting food from a UN distribution point.
The Truth: The European & Middle East leaders - including Mahmoud Abbas of Fatah from the West Bank, Palestine - that held a summit in Egypt on Sunday had nothing to do with the Gaza ceasefire. Israel & Hamas both separately announced unilateral ceasefires. The different factions that make up the Palestinian resistance met Sunday in Damascus, Syria. The resistance decided to have a conditional truce for a week during which time Israel is to completely withdraw from Gaza and all the border crossings are to be opened to allow humanitarian aid and basic goods into Gaza.
While some Israeli soldiers are leaving Gaza, many troops, tanks, & artillery remain and fighting has continued. Israel says they will not give a time line for withdrawal from Gaza. An Israeli military spokesperson, Avital Leibovich, said, "The operation is not over. This is only a holding of fire." Ehud Olmert stated that "the Israeli army will regard itself as free to respond with force" if their "enemies decide to strike." (Al Jazeera).
There were over 1300 Palestinians' killed according to medics (the death toll is rising as dead people are being dug out of the rubble) during Israel's three week long unrestrained military assault on Gaza. (AFP)
This was confirmed by Gaza emergency chief Mo'aweya Hassanein who also reported over 5500 people wounded, approximately half of them known to be civilians, including 418 children and 110 women. Sixteen paramedics and four journalists have also been counted among the dead. 120 men over 50 years old are also known to have been killed. (Xinhua)
I did not see a reported number of civilians killed as it seems that all Palestinian men between the ages of 16 and 50 are considered militants and thereby "terrorists" according to the media. Would they use that same terminology to describe the resistance fighters in the Warsaw Ghetto?
Estimates are that the Israeli military completely destroyed 4000 houses and either partially or badly damaged over 20,000 others. (Xinhua)
Israel has not lifted its blockade and humanitarian aid, medicines, & basic goods are desperately needed for the besieged people of Gaza. A Mercy Corps spokesperson told BBC World News that ALL the aid groups were being denied entry into Gaza. She said Israel was using stall tactics & giving aid organizations the run around. As of this writing, half the day has already passed in Gaza.
Following the Egyptian summit the European leaders went to Israel & met with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. There they are seen laughing & joking together. (AFP)
The summit that was held in Egypt and was attended by Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas, France, Turkey and Jordan, secretaries-general of the United Nations and the Arab League, prime ministers of the UK, Italy, Spain, Czech Republic and Germany's chancellor.
They did not invite Hamas to be a part of the summit. (Al Jazeera)
