ARROWSIC, Maine -- Residents in the small midcoast town of Arrowsic will vote on a symbolic resolution this week seeking to halt funding of the war in Iraq.
The item will be voted on at the town meeting on Wednesday.
Supporters said the town, which has about 500 people, will be the first municipality in Maine to consider such a resolution, which would urge President George W. Bush and Congress to stop funding the war and bring U.S. troops home.
The resolution also said the town supports the troops and recognizes their sacrifices.
